Meningococcal Vaccinations

About Meningococcal Vaccinations

Along with Flu vaccinations, our Your Health NZ healthcare professionals are also authorised to administer Meningococcal vaccinations.

The vaccine providing protection against Meningococcal strains A, C, W & Y is particularly important for adolescents and young adults aged 13-25 who will be or are currently living in a boarding school, hostels or university hall of residence, military barracks, or prison.

Since March 2023, the Meningococcal B vaccine has also been funded for people aged 13-25 entering into their first year of specified close-living situations.

Meningococcal Vaccination Clinics are currently available in the Waikato, so if you have young people living in boarding schools, hostels, or halls of residence or elsewhere, then get in touch via our contact form.
